Presley 2nd birthday

Presley is 2 years old! I still can't believe it!!!! I have  a 2 year old! Time is flying by so fast. I wish I could just pause time. I do remind myself to appreciate the moments I have them now as little babies. Since we just moved to Texas, we don't know many people so we decided to do a family time birthday celebration.

Presley really enjoyed her birthday. It was full of fun and sugar. We made sure she had all of her favorite things, like donuts and quesadillas. She loved Houston Party Playland when we went a few weeks ago, so I knew she would love to go again on her birthday. She really enjoyed jumping on the trampoline.

Birth, 1st birthday and 2nd birthday

Aniston is 11 months

Diaper Size: 3, but she has started to blow out of them a lot more so once we finish up the 3s she will be moving to 4s.

Clothes Size: 12 months 

Eat: She is starting to wean from the breast milk. I have been using my frozen stash and I can tell she doesn't like it as much as the fresh stuff. Sometimes she won't drink it from her bottle and I have to give it to her in a straw cup. I don't want to waste it, so I have been giving her a little less for her afternoon and nighttime bottle since she hasn't been finishing those up. Right now, she gets 8oz in the morning, 6 oz in the afternoon and nighttime.

Sleep: Her sleep schedule is still the same. Occasionally when John is home on the weekends I will have her take 2 naps, but she is fine if she only has one. We have started to give her a blanket to sleep with and she seems to like it. She also loves her music giraffe that Presley found and gave her.

Play: She is walking with holding on to furniture or your hands a lot quicker now. Once in a blue moon she will take a step on her own. She has learned to crawl up the couch and by watching Presley she has learned to get down off the couch. It is crazy how much she watches her and learns all of these new tricks.

Milestones: She now has 4 teeth, two on the bottom and two on the top. She says "Mama," "Dada," and "Bye." She will blow and give you kisses.

Likes: Her climbing is out of control! There is nothing she won't climb. She is definitely adventurous. She loves to play in her outside house and absolutely LOVES to ring the door bell and open and close the door. She thinks it's the funniest thing! During bath time and in the water table she loves to be squirted by squirt toys. She giggles so much. She also has these Croc shoes that she loves to wear outside.

Dislikes: She doesn't like being told not to scream and when Presley takes away her toy.

Personality: She imitates Presley so much. Monkey see monkey do. She has learned to scream really loud because Presley sometimes does that (unfortunately) and she doesn't understand that she isn't suppose to do it. So it ends up being a screaming contest between them :( Can't wait for this phase to end. Other than that, she is always smiling and laughing.

Sisterly Love

I absolutely love how close my girls are together. They have such a close bond and are so cute together. Presley loves to protect her little sister and Aniston loves looking up to her big sister. Here are just some cute photos that I have of them over the past couple months. Enjoy :)

Fourth of July

This was Aniston's first 4th of July and Presley's second 4th of July. Unfortunately, it was raining all day. So instead of our plan of hanging out in the pool we decided to do some Lowe's fun with the renovation. The girls love going into these car shopping carts. Then when "driving" the cart isn't entertaining enough, switching them to a regular cart will keep them entertained while they put buckets on each others head :)

Around 6pm the rain finally stopped. We enjoyed some good BBQ and a neighbor had some fireworks that were able to watch from our house.

Aniston is 10 months old

Diaper Size: 3

Clothes Size: 9 month and 9-12 months 

Eat: She is eating three solid meals a day and three 8oz bottles of breastmilk. It is hard at night to get her to finish her bottle because she eats dinner a little before it and is getting full from that. It is funny how strict I was with Presley eating junk food and sugar. Now that I offer Presley chips, ice cream, donuts, etc. it is hard to not give any to Aniston. Presley didn't have any dessert sugar until 1 years old and Aniston has already had some :) Don't get me wrong, both girls don't get dessert every day, but when Aniston gets some it is a small amount.

Sleep: Her sleep schedule is still the same. The roommate situation is still going well. Aniston can tune out Presley if she is crying because she doesn't want to go to sleep. I've been trying to cut back on her nap schedule to one nap a day, the same time as Presley. It just makes it hard if Aniston wants to nap around 10/11 and I am with the girls by myself; it doesn't allow me to take Presley out to the park, splash pad or library.

Play: She is loving the splash pad a lot more and is now crawling in "tripod" position so she doesn't hurt her knees.We have started to go to the library for toddler time and she loves to crawl around and play in the tunnel.

Milestones: She is standing on her own, waves and claps. She is learning all this stuff from Presley and tries to keep up with her all the time.

Likes: She loves to climb up everything. It gets me worried to leave her by herself even for a second because she will climb up on the couch and the "roller coaster." Loves to go down the "roller coaster" and loves when Presley tries to catch or chase her. She loves to play peek-a-boo with Mommy and Daddy.

Dislikes: Sometimes if she misses her first nap she is very cranky.

Personality: She has always been such a happy baby and still is the same way. She is starting to imitate Presley with her talking and calling out for Dada all the time. She might be a Daddy's girl too.
