Father's Day

This was John's first official Father's Day and I wanted to make sure it was extra special. To start off the day, I made him his favorite breakfast… Steak and eggs. He said it was better than the Cheesecake Factory! That is a big compliment. On the side he had cinnamon buns because we are grateful that he works his BUNS off to bring home the bacon :)
After breakfast we relaxed together and watch OITNB. Presley gave him the gift of Mountain Dew she made him because she Dew loves him and her Father's Day card. Then we headed off to get ribs from a restaurant that he has never been to and got the best chocolate cake from Publix. We enjoyed a late lunch. Later, John enjoyed a game of Ultimate Frisbee with some friends. After we put Presley to sleep we enjoyed our dessert. He said he really loved his first Father's Day.

This was a shirt I gave him last Father's Day. I had to squeeze her in it since it was  the size for 3 months lol

Blueberry Farm

June 7, 2017

We went to a blueberry farm. It was so cute seeing Presley try to pick the blueberries off the branches. Of course, she was not able to do it, but she tried :) She even tried to eat them, but we had to stop her because we need to cut them in half so they aren't a choking hazard. When we got home I washed them and gave her some for lunch. Her face was so funny when she went to eat it because they were very sweet. Looking forward to the other fruits we can pick in the upcoming months :) While we were picking the blueberries I kept thinking how cute this will be next year with Presley walking and picking them herself and her little sister tagging along. The best is yet to come!

I truly enjoyed my first Mother's Day.

8 Months Old

  • Diaper Size: 3 and pampers overnight size 3
  • Clothes Size: 6-9 months and 9 months
  • Eat: She is eating 7 oz of formula in the morning, 2 bottles of 6oz in the afternoon and 8 oz before bed. Occasionally, one of the afternoon bottles will be breastmilk using some of the frozen stash that I have. She eats three solid meals a day. She loves eggs, peanut butter toast, chicken and bananas.
  • Sleep: She is sleeping throughout the night, on her belly. She will sleep from 7-7. She has two naps, one in the morning for an hour and one in the afternoon for another hour.
  • Play: She is crawling like CRAZY! I remember trying to get her to crawl and wanting it so badly and now that she is, I'm like SLOW DOWN! I have to have my eyes on her 24/7. I miss the time when I can just leave her on the mat and not worry about her when I got to the bathroom. Now she is moving constantly and have to make sure she isn't getting into anything.
  • Milestones: She is crawling and eating meat. She loves chicken! She has two bottom teeth and she looks ADORABLE when she smiles.
  • Likes: She loves her bananas and peanut butter toast. She makes a "MMMM…." sound when she eats. She has such a big appetite. She is talking like crazy and says "Dada." Not sure where she learned that since I've only been practicing "Mama" with her. She loves the song "Itsy Bitsy Spider" from the Gigglebellies.  Claps her hands when we sing too!
  • Dislikes: There isn't much that she does not like. If she doesn't have one of her naps she will get fussy.
  • Personality: She is truly the happiest baby on Earth. She loves to clap her hands and talks all the time. She loves it when we sing and thinks it's a game when we say "No" if she is getting into something that she shouldn't be getting into.

  • Dear Presley,

Happy 8th months! You are getting so big so quickly! I can't believe you are crawling already. Soon you'll be walking! You are such a happy baby and we are so lucky to have you in our life. I thank God every day that we have been blessed with you. It is amazing how much you change every day and I look forward to finding something new about you. You now have two cute bottom teeth! You look SO adorable when you smile and we can see them. I will start planning your 1 year birthday party soon. Can't believe I am already getting ready to do that! We love you sooooo much!

    Love,

    Mommy and Daddy
